Rosalind Spann
Artist Statement:
Inspiration for my art is drawn from everyday events, experience, diverse cultural and ethnic influences and other artisits. I am amazed by colors, patterns, textures, and versatility of fibers. I embrace them with a freestyle approach when creating my work and want the viewer to feel a sense of connection.
Many years of costume construction/design, sewing experience, and traditional quilting have led me to fiber art. My work has been exhibitied in galleries, juried shows, museums, and quilting festivals.
